Mírame a los ojos (in english: Look Into my Eyes) was a participatory art intervention held in the Ex-Teresa Museum (and earlier in Querétaro) which addressed gender definitions through the experiences of 26 women who live and work on Licenciado Verdad Street. Gender construction was thus sneaked into the domains of the visible and the intelligible, from the elections taken and embodied by each of them to the cultural mandates they voluntarily or involuntarily (re)produce.
